In-N-Out Burger

The freshest, most delicious,
fast food hamburger in America!

In-N-Out Burger is our favorite fast food place for a hamburger! When Californians move to another part of the county, one thing they always miss is In-N-Out Burger! In-N-Out Burger

In 1948, the first restaurant was founded by Harry and Esther Snyder. The business philosophy was simple:

"Give customers the freshest, highest quality foods you can buy and provide them with friendly service in a sparkling clean environment."

Decades later, this philosophy continues to stand. Their commitment to quality starts with their hamburgers. They pay a premium for fresh, high quality beef chucks. No mystery meat here! The beef is carefully inspected and ground into patties at their own facility in Baldwin Park, California. This way, they can be certain of the quality and freshness of each patty.

So when you bite into an In-N-Out burger, you know it’s made with:

-Fresh, never frozen, 100% pure beef
-Hand-leafed lettuce
-Plump, juicy tomatoes
-Real American cheese
-Baked buns made with old-fashioned slow-rising dough

Not only are the burgers fresh and delicious, you can watch them make your French fries out of real potatoes. The potatoes are cut right in the store, one at a time, and cooked in 100% pure cholesterol-free vegetable oil. Did I mention they are delicious?

You would think you would pay a premium for all this freshness, but the prices are very reasonable as you can see in this picture.

Menu at In-N-Out

It's just $1.65 for a hamburger. And there's free refills on drinks, so just order a small or just get water (it's free and much better for you!).

Now, there are items you can order that aren’t on the menu. It’s the “not-so-secret” menu. First of all, you can add grilled onions to any burger, and I highly recommend this! You can also ask for extra spread. Here are a few other ways to order like a local:

Protein Style - Your favorite burger wrapped in lettuce, instead of a bun. Great if you’re trying to lose weight or want to avoid the extra carbs.

Animal Style - Your favorite burger with lettuce, tomato, a mustard cooked beef patty, pickle, extra spread and grilled onions.

Grilled Cheese - For your little ones or vegetarians, you’ll get 2 slices of melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato, spread, onions on a baked bun. Of course you can make any variations you like.

4 x 4 - Not recommended for obvious health reasons (ha!), this is 4 pure beef patties, lettuce, tomato, spread, 4 slices of American cheese, onions, stacked HIGH on a baked bun.

Line at In-N-Out As you can see, you won't be the only one waiting in line! But have no fear. You’ll find the staff incredibly courteous and efficient. They don’t call it “In-N-Out” without reason! Here's a tip though: I’ve found the drive-thru to be faster. Once you pull up to the usual long line at the drive-thru, an employee comes to your window to take your order within moments. They do a great job at getting your order to you as quickly as possible. You can even get your food at the drive-thru, and then park the car and eat outside on the patio.

In-N-Out t-shirt, hat and other products Maybe you’ll become such a fan that you’ll go home with a T-shirt, a true sign that you’ve done a local California activity! And why not? The shirts are so great looking and reasonably priced. $8.50 for kids, $10.95 for adults.

So do yourself a favor and stop at In-N-Out while you’re in San Diego. It will be a cheap meal that you will remember fondly for a long time!

There’s only one other fast food restaurant that I would recommend. In-N-Out Burger reigns for beef, and Chick-fil-a reigns for chicken. No other fast food is worth stopping for.

Every time Uncle John comes from the East Coast, he must have a In-N-Out burger! Here he is waiting with our son...say cheeseburger!

We're excited about our cheeseburgers!
