Mission Beach and Belmont Park are centrally located and just a stone's throw away from San Diego's SeaWorld. If your kids like rides + beach, they will like Belmont Park. Your teens will love the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster and the newest ride in the park, Beach Blaster. Of course, it is a boardwalk so depending on who you run into, the crowd may be a little rough.
If you have little ones, you can watch over where you go and monitor the environment pretty easily. When my son was 2, he loved riding the Liberty Carousel and playing in the sand. Other rides include Speedway Bumper Cars, Vertical Plunge, Krazy Kars, Tilt-a-Whirl and Crazy Submarine.
The beach is directly behind all the rides. There are a few places to eat on the boardwalk but nothing too noteworthy, except the Sweet Shoppe which your kids will think is noteworthy as they eat their ice cream cones.

Tickets and DiscountsHere are the options for you to consider for what would work best for your family:1. Buy individual tickets. Each ticket costs $1.00. One ride will cost anywhere from $2-$6. For instance, the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster requires 6 tickets, $6 to ride once. Ouch. But if your toddler is only going to ride the Liberty Carousel, you'll just spend $2. 2. Buy a Bonus Pack. You'll get 34 tickets for $30, a saving of $4. 3. Buy an unlimited ride wristband.
