Belmont Park in San Diego

The Beach Boardwalk for Rides and Waves

Belmont Park Giant Dipper roller coaster

Mission Beach and Belmont Park are centrally located and just a stone's throw away from San Diego's SeaWorld. If your kids like rides + beach, they will like Belmont Park. Your teens will love the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster and the newest ride in the park, Beach Blaster. Of course, it is a boardwalk so depending on who you run into, the crowd may be a little rough.

Playing at the beach If you have little ones, you can watch over where you go and monitor the environment pretty easily. When my son was 2, he loved riding the Liberty Carousel and playing in the sand. Other rides include Speedway Bumper Cars, Vertical Plunge, Krazy Kars, Tilt-a-Whirl and Crazy Submarine.

The beach is directly behind all the rides. There are a few places to eat on the boardwalk but nothing too noteworthy, except the Sweet Shoppe which your kids will think is noteworthy as they eat their ice cream cones.

See video from Belmont Park including the popular carousel and Chaos thrill ride.
