Halloween Event Guide for Toddlers to Teens in San Diego
No matter what your fancy, here’s the ultimate guide for Halloween activities for your family. Our family isn’t into ghouls, goblins, or ghosts, but my son is looking forward to dressing up like Lightning McQueen! Pick and choose what would work for your toddlers, teens and everyone in between.
Pumpkin Stations
All across the county, parking lots will be converted into pumpkin patches. Petting zoos, train rides, other rides and inflatables make a visit to a Pumpkin Station a great way to celebrate the season with your children.
Or visit a working farm and pick your own pumpkin, go on a hay ride, and wonder through a corn maze. These are Halloween activities your kids will remember and look forward to.
Here's a video of our trip to Plaza Bonita's Pumpkin Station.

Julian Fall Apple Harvest
There’s nothing like the changing leaves and hot apple cider to get you in the holiday mood! Every year from mid-September to November, historic Julian throws an apple party that lasts two-months. If only our kids could figure out how to make their birthday parties last that long! Julian’s delicious apple pies have put this little quaint town on the map.
Try the Julian Pie Company or Mom’s Pie House for a little (or big) slice of apple heaven!
The Julian Mining Company offers pumpkins, child-sized haybale maze, tractor-pulled hay rides, and a Cider mill (fresh apple cider made on the premises).
