Legoland for Two Year Olds
We went to Legoland for the first time for my son's 2nd birthday. I remember thinking, what is there to do for two year olds and is the price of admission worth it?
Well, the honest answer is yes...and no...but mostly yes! There's a lot of walking to do from land to land in Legoland especially when you have a toddler in tow. It was a hot August day and we waited in long lines to ride the Safari Trek and other rides.
When you're waiting in a long, hot line with a toddler, you have to wonder, "I actually paid a lot of money to do this?"
But our son really liked flying his own bi-plane in Flight Squadron and the helicopter in Sky Patrol. But then there were other things we thought he would like but didn't. Like the Fun Town Fire Academy, where your family goes into a fire truck and pumps water out of a hose to put out the fire of a "burning" building. He was terrified of the water. He cried and wanted to be rescued out of the fire truck himself!
And then there was the nice slow boat ride which should have been a favorite. After all, Skipper School in Fun Town is one of the Park's most popular rides. But once a boat hit my son's boat, it was over! He didn't like being bumped by other boats at all. His father on the other hand thought it was lots of fun as you can see in the picture!
Overall, we had a great day but with more tears than anticipated (who knew fire hoses were so scary to our two-year-old?). You know your child best. Look at the rides and attractions that are geared for a two year old and weigh out the pros and cons of going with a toddler.
