Pumpkin Photos
Our Day at Oma's Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkin photos were easy to get at Oma's Pumpkin Patch in Lakeside!
Oma's Pumpkin Patch specializes in creative photo opportunies: hay bales, tractors, ATVs, wooden cut outs, mazes, animals, and of course, pumpkin photos!
Here's my little girl on her first tractor ride. She loved it!
Every child who visits Oma's Pumpkin Patch can pick a pumpkin from Jack's Patch. Admission is $7 and includes the pumpkin, a bottle of water, and the other things you'll see on this page.
My son loved picking out his prized pumpkin!
1-2-3-SHOOT! Basketball hoops at the pumpkin patch were a real hit for kids of all ages.
Next to the hoops, there was a bean toss where kids could throw bean bags into a wooden structure with pumpkin shaped holes (also a place to get a good pumpkin photo).
Beyond the pumpkin photo spots, there's still lots to do, like this sand pile with construction vehicles. My kids spent a lot of time there!
Behind that, there's a hay maze and petting zoo.
We would probably never ride these in real life, but we could get photos on ATVs and pretend!
There was even a soccer arena at the pumpkin patch.
My daughter is charging in, ready to play!
One thing I really like about Oma's Pumpkin Patch is the creativity displayed in every corner. They've really maximized their space to invent little areas like this soccer arena throughout the farm.
Milk bottle bowling was a lot of fun, but hard work too!
After taking a lot of time to set up the milk bottles perfectly, it only took a few seconds for all of those bottles to come crashing down as the kids rolled (or kicked!) the balls down the hay alley!
Behind the main section of the pumpkin patch, there's a very nice playground area for the kids.

There were lots of cute pumpkin photo-ops at Oma's pumpkin farm, like these examples.
Unfortunately, this was the best photo I got of my little pumpkin! She's saying, "Get me out of here!"
Oh well, there will come a time when they like having their picture taken like this, right???
One thing I loved about going to Oma's Pumpkin Patch was the drive. Look at the scenery. We really felt like we were getting away, even though it was just minutes from the freeway.
My son who loves the movie Cars said it looked like Radiator Springs and I think he was right!
