"Splash" Comes to the Zoo
Don't miss the San Diego Nighttime Zoo if you visit during the summer. From the end of June to the beginning of September, Zoo grounds remain open until 9 p.m., giving your family the chance to enjoy the cool of the evening and a less crowded zoo.
Plus nightly entertainment is a lot of fun. Check out this video from the 2008 show, Splash: Faces of the Wild. See if your kids can guess what animal is being created after you hit play.

As you enter the Zoo, the show stage for the Nighttime Zoo is to your immediate left. Plenty of shows are available to make it convenient for your family to catch part or all of this 30 minute presentation. No seats...you just stand and watch as the artist creates your child's favorite animals on canvas.
