Sea World Ticket Discounts, Fun Cards and Passports...
Which one's right for you?

Do you have to pay full price for Sea World tickets?

Absolutely not!

When you visit the park, you want to be able to enjoy yourself, not have the thought "I feel broke!" lurking at the back of your mind the whole time.

So you want the best possible deal on your tickets. Should you use a coupon, get a yearly passport, or maybe a Fun Card?

Ask yourself these questions to figure out the best ticket deal for your family:

Sea lions at SeaWorld
  • Will you be visiting Sea World for 1 day or 2 days?

  • Will you return to the park in the next few months or the next 12 months?

If You're Visiting for 1 Day

Here are the single-day admission prices:

Adults ages 10+ - $73
Children ages 3-9 - $65

But why pay full price? Check out these discounts:

1. Southwest Airlines Discount: Show your Southwest Rapid Rewards card at the ticket booth and get 20% off a one-day admission. Limit 4 admissions per card.

2. AAA Discounts: AAA members can get a discount by purchasing tickets through AAA, or by showing their card at the gate.

I've read about people saving $80 to $180 using AAA promo codes (the more tickets you buy the higher the savings). Keep in mind that promo codes change frequently, so search the web for savings and we'll keep you posted of codes on the blog.

Salute to the Heroes 3. AARP Discounts: AARP members (ages 50+) receive $8 savings on Tuesdays for up to 6 people on admission. Just show your AARP membership card. AARP members receive $5 off every other day of the week.

4. Free Tickets for Military: Members of the military (active duty military, active and ready reservists, National Guard, Coast Guard) and as many as three direct dependents may enter the park absolutely free!

You have to register in advance at www.herosalute.com and fill out a form, which you take with you to the park along with valid ID. Now is the time to take your family to see Shamu!

If You’re Visiting for Two or more Days

You must get the SeaWorld Length of Stay Ticket

This is a no-brainer! For the same price as a one-day ticket, you may buy a Length of Stay ticket which allows you to enjoy SeaWorld for 7 consecutive days.

You can buy this ticket online or at the gate for the same price.

Adults ages 10+ - $73
Children ages 3-9 - $65

Click here to purchase your tickets online.

Want to Visit Again and Again? Try These Options...

Sea World Fun Card: If you live near San Diego, the Fun Card is the best ticket deal. For the SAME price of a single day admission, you can return to Sea World as many days as you like for the duration of the calendar year.

Adults ages 10+ - $73
Children ages 3-9 - $65

Remember, you will have to pay for parking which is $14 for each visit. Also there are a few blackout dates (but you don't want to be in the park on those crowded dates anyway). So if you plan to visit multiple times, you might want to consider getting a Silver or Platinum annual pass...

Passport entrance at Sea World Silver Pass: Get unlimited admission for 12 months. The best part is the complimentary parking (normally $14 per visit). If you think you’ll visit Sea World 3 times or more during the year, this passport is worth it.

Silver Passport for all ages - $120

If you're really a Sea World lover, you'll save even more if you buy a two-year Silver Passport, which is $180 for all ages.

Click here to order your Silver Pass.

The park offers an EZ Pay option which enables you to pay for your tickets for the duration of the pass in increments of about $25. Click here for othe EZ Pay option.

Besides free parking, other benefits of the Silver Passport include:

-20% guest admissions and guided tours
-10% savings on food
-50% discounts to other Anheuser-Busch theme parks
(SeaWorld Orlando and San Antonio, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Sesame Place in PA, Adventure Island in FL, and Water Country USA in Virginia)

Best Bet: If you’re a Costco member, visit a warehouse in San Diego and pick up your Silver Passport at a discount. Other savings warehouses (like Sam's and BJs) may also offer ticket discounts.

Sea World Conservation Membership - Is this the best possible deal?

We're a little confused by this deal (the price seems too good to be true), so we're just going to quote the park's website:

"A NEW kind of Membership where the first $7 and yearly anniversary $7 is a direct donation to the SeaWorld/Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. It’s a guaranteed low price … for as long as you like while providing help to animals in need."

The website says the membership will give you unlimited admission, free parking, and in-park savings on food and merchandise. At $56.99 for all ages, this sounds like the best possible deal for an annual pass!

And for Real Park Lovers, Here's the Platinum Pass...

If you REALLY love theme parks, consider the Platinum Pass. For $280 per person (all ages) you'll get two-years of admission to Sea World, plus...

- free general or preferred parking (when available)in San Diego - 20% guest admissions and guided tours
- 10% savings on food
- savings on camps and animal interaction programs
- free Skyride and Skytower rides in San Diego
- free admission to other Anheuser-Busch theme parks, including SeaWorld Orlando and San Antonio, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Busch Gardens Africa and Adventure Island in Tampa Bay, Sesame Place in PA, and Water Country USA
