Sea World
If You Love Shows, You Must Go!

Sea World is one great reason to make San Diego your next family vacation destination! Nothing compares to the jaw-dropping shows SeaWorld puts together, whether it’s Believe: The Spectacular Shamu Show or Dolphin Discovery.
Whether you want to laugh or be inspired, you won’t be disappointed by the
show offerings at Sea World.
What Are the Best Discounts?
You’re ready to see Shamu…what’s the best way to get tickets? Which discounts are the best?
Click here for complete info on 1-day and 2-day discounts, fun cards and passports.
And you'll also find out how to get in for free if you're a military family!
Amazing Animal Exhibits
SeaWorld’s not only about shows. You’ll also find stellar animal exhibits like:
Shark Encounter: Walk through a submerged acrylic walking tube with one of the world’s largest displays of sharks swimming all around you. You will love this!
Penguin Encounter: Find more than 300 adorable Antarctic penguins dressed to the nines in their black and whites to welcome you.
Forbidden Reef: Feed bat rays in a shallow lagoon and come close to moray eels.
Pacific Point: Feed harbor seals and California sea lions. Look at this cute guy!
And there’s still more…Freshwater Aquarium with piranhas, World of the Sea Aquarium, Rocky Point Preserve (dolphins and sea otters), and the Tide Pool.
Sesame Street Bay of Play
If you’ve ever been to the park before, you might remember Happy Harbor, a giant play area for kids. Happy Harbor has been upgraded! Now you’ll find the Sesame Street Bay of Play in all its glory! This two-acre play area has rides (included in the price of admission – yeah!), character appearances, and plenty of places for your little ones to get all their wiggles out.
Just make sure you follow your little one (it's easy to get lost) or set a time with your older kids to meet at a specific place.
Ride Adventures
SeaWorld has combined the animal education and entertainment you would find at a Zoo with thrilling rides you would find at an amusement park. It’s a smart combination! Most of the rides are free with admission. There are a few rides that require an extra fee – Bayside Skyride, Extreme Zone Rockwall or Trampoline, and SkyTower. To be honest, I would just skip these. There’s plenty to ride that’s included with admission like…
Journey to Atlantis: Minimum height 42 inches
Shipwreck Rapids: Minimum height 42 inches
Wild Arctic: Minimum height 42 inches
Abby’s Sea Star Spin: Minimum height 42 inches
Elmo’s Flying Fish: Minimum height 48 inches
Oscar’s Rockin’ Eels: Minimum height 42 inches
Summer Nights
Every summer, Sea World pulls out all the stops for its guests! Your family will enjoy special nighttime shows, longer hours and fantastic fireworks. There is something truly special about watching a Shamu show light up the night, even if your kids are exhausted!
Yes, the park is definitely more crowded in the summertime, but it’s so worth it to feel the energy of the nighttime shows.
